Thank you for your interest in the 2005 Summer Treatment Program
(STP) of the Children's Hospital at the Cleveland Clinic. This letter
explains how to apply for positions via the Internet. Please refer
to the job postings for detailed descriptions of the responsibilities
of Lead Counselors, Group Counselors, Developmental Specialists,
and Developmental Aides.
After printing the application and additional program information
from the Internet, the first step in applying to the Summer Treatment
Program is to send: a) the completed application, b) your resume,
and c) three letters of recommendation to:
Kristina Shiever MEd., PC
Division of Pediatrics, Desk A120
The Cleveland Clinic Foundation
9500 Euclid Avenue
Cleveland, OH 44195
The next step in recruitment is for you to read and review the
program information that includes a description of the STP, the
STP Adolescent Program, and the DSM-IV definitions of Attention
Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder,
(ODD), and Conduct Disorder (CD). Please read these materials carefully
and make notes when you encounter ideas you do not understand or
about which you would like more information.
When we have received your a) application, b) resume, c) letters
of recommendation, and d) after you have read the required program
information available on the website, we will contact you in order
to schedule a brief interview. (Out-of-town applicants may be interviewed
by phone.) Because summer internships are often popular, we request
you submit all materials promptly. The deadline for receiving applications
is April 22, 2005, though you may be hired prior to this time if
materials and interview are complete. The dates of the STP are June
27 through August 12, 2005. Staff orientation, preliminary training,
and preparation will begin the week of June 6, 2005.
Thank you for your interest. Please call 216/444-0075 if you need
additional information.
Sincerely,
Michael J. Manos, Ph.D.
