The Section of Pediatric Psychology offers outpatient
consultation, evaluation, testing and intervention for children and
adolescents with behavioral, emotional or learning problems. Members
of the section have specialty interests in the psychologic effects
of acute or chronic illness and in stress-related illnesses such as
headaches and stomachaches.
are frequently called upon to provide consultative services for
children hospitalized at the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital.
These children may have difficulty adjusting to hospitalization
or illness, or they may be hospitalized for an illness with a psychologic
participate as needed on a consultative basis in specialty clinics
of other sections, including headache, chronic fatigue syndrome,
fibromyalgia and learning assessment.
