Atypical Teratoid /Rhabdoid tumor(AT/RT) of the central
nervous system (CNS) is an aggressive malignancy of childhood. This
rarity has resulted in a lack of clear treatment guidelines and
multiple approaches have been taken. Therefore, a registry was created
to collect information on these tumors. The purpose of this website
is to provide information on this rare childhood tumor to families
and physicians.
The AT/RT registry is a voluntary, free, central database,
which collects information about the clinical course, therapy, and
outcomes of patients diagnosed with AT/RT. Through the collection
of this information, the medical and scientific community will have
a better understanding of this tumor. Information from the registry
combined with information obtained from prospective studies will
help develop optimal treatment approaches for children diagnosed
with these tumors.
