My experience at the Cleveland Clinic has
truly been outstanding and intellectually rewarding. Being
ranked as the Top 3 hospitals by the US News & World
report, expect to work with only the best physicians and
experience their passion for ground breaking learning. Our
expert primary and subspecialty clinicians are extremely
nice and approachable. Their desire to teach and the endless
support they provide allow the residents to strive for excellence
in both clinical and basic science research.
As a tertiary care hospital, we see a wide variety of rare
but fascinating pathology in addition to the bread and butter
cases from our local community hospitals. It's a diverse
learning environment having the latest diagnostic and therapeutic
technology easily available spiced with critical thinking
and evidence based medicine.
The Internal Medicine Residency Program is part of a diverse
community that the Cleveland Clinic represents. It is here
where you see various cultures and beliefs work in harmony
to provide the best patient care and cutting edge research
in medicine. This togetherness also facilitates discoveries
and opens possibilities in medicine that every resident
can both learn and utilize as a stepping stone to your career
choice. The program highly supports resident’s development
and success whether it involves finishing the residency
training, finding a great position in primary care and hospital
medicine or matching into a competitive fellowship.
Living in Cleveland has been wonderful. There are a lot
of neighborhoods with affordable housing, and various activities
from the downtown nightlife to outdoor picnics at our beautiful
Metro parks. Our house staff association also sponsors activities
like musical plays, ball games and concerts. There’s
easy access to the malls, a lot of restaurants and bars
to choose from, traffic is never an issue, all of these
combined with a suburban atmosphere makes Cleveland a very
cozy place to live.
It was a privilege to serve the program as Chief Resident
and continue on with a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology
at the Cleveland Clinic.
