Every resident is assigned to a weekly Continuity
Clinic for all three years of training. Continuity Clinic is supervised
by the Department of General Pediatrics, which is composed of nine
physicians who serve as resident preceptors. A resident will
be assigned to one of three locations; main campus, a satellite
location, or a private practice office in the community. Pediatricians
at these centers are also members of the Department of General Pediatrics.
With progressive learning,
the resident is expected to function as the primary caregiver for
his or her patients. Continuity Clinic has primacy over all other
duties, and residents are excused from their other assignments to
attend Continuity Clinic.
