Message from the Teaching Research
|
Susan J. Rehm, M.D.As the former Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program and a former IM resident at the Clinic, I am committed to the success of every resident who trains here. My primary contact with residents comes from interactions on the infectious disease hospital consult service, but we also work with residents in the ID outpatient clinic. The patients on whom we consult are among the most challenging in the hospital.
I truly enjoy interacting with the residents. We have lively discussions regarding diagnostic and management dilemmas. I teach residents how to be effective consultants. In addition, I have worked with many residents to produce presentations and papers based on cases seen during their ID rotation. I value the opportunity to mentor residents as they complete their research projects and pursue their career goals.
I believe we offer an excellent education at the Cleveland Clinic and I am proud to contribute to the success of the training program and its residents.
