Every day, the employees of the Cleveland Clinic Health System make a difference in our community. This difference goes beyond the provision of outstanding patient care that is the hallmark of our system of hospitals, family health centers and ambulatory surgery facilities. Through extraordinary community programs and other efforts, we are reaching out to our communities in ways that make a tremendous and positive impact on the lives of the people we touch.

This dedication to the community is long-standing. The Cleveland Clinic was founded in 1921 as a not-for-profit organization with a mission to serve the community,care for the sick, and improve that care through research and education. And while our mission has remained constant for more than 80 years, we are continually developing new programs and devoting more resources to meeting community needs. This spirit of community-mindedness and compassion represents the ethos of our organization. It is the reason why so many people choose the Cleveland Clinic Health System for their life's work.

To borrow from Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, the Cleveland Clinic Health System is of the community, by the community, and for the community. Every year, we provide millions of dollars worth of benefits to our communities.
