Physician Announcement

Kenneth McCurry, MD, has joined the Tomsich Family Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. McCurry's specialty interests include lung and heart transplantation, ventricular assist devices, heart failure surgery, and lung and heart ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Dr. McCurry received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, Fla. He completed his residencies in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor, Mich., where he was honored with Frederick A. Coller Award for Research Excellence. He completed a CT transplant fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, Pa. and a research fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, N.C. He joins Cleveland Clinic from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served as director of its Lung and Heart-Lung Transplantation Program.
