The Division of Surgery comprises 14 different departments,
each with its own proud legacy of patient care, research and
education. We are pleased to have an international reputation
based upon singular attention to every patient, and comprehensive
and compassionate treatment options.
With access to leading-edge technology, surgeons in the Cleveland
Clinic Division of Surgery are making critical advances in
patient care. We have made it our goal to seek the least invasive
approach to every disease condition. Using advanced imaging
techniques, and precision laparoscopic instruments, we have
been able to replace many major open surgeries with minimally
invasive procedures.
Our notable capabilities include deep brain stimulation –
the use of pacemaker-like devices to modify abnormal brain
activity, and treat the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease
and other neurological disorders.
The cornerstones of The Cleveland Clinic are quality, innovation,
teamwork and service. It is the ambition of every member of
the Division of Surgery to personify these principles in their
daily activities. Attention to these ideals enables us to
provide the most compassionate and effective care, to offer
service that exceeds expectations, and to restore our patients
to optimum health and the enjoyment of life.
