Cleveland Clinic
Specialty Services Symposium: Medical, Surgical and Quality
June 3, 2008 InterContinental Hotel & Bank of America Conference Center | Cleveland, Ohio

Sharing World-class Developments With You...

Cleveland Clinic continues to combine high-quality care with hi-tech clinical advancements to achieve the guiding principle, "Patients First."  Mara Miller is a 13-year-old girl from Florida who entered Cleveland Clinic’s Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Program on crutches, and walked out on her own two legs.  Our Pain Rehabilitation Program is one of the few programs in the nation that offers an interdisciplinary approach to pain management for children and teens.  It is a perfect example of how Cleveland Clinic brings the best in medical and surgical innovations to patients each day.

Each issue of Speaking of Specialty Services shares examples of Cleveland Clinic’s dedication to providing patients with the highest levels of innovation, service and excellence.  This month, we highlight our annual Medical Innovations Summit.  Along with offering insight into promising cancer treatments, the Summit predicted the innovations for 2010 that will inspire the medical community and provide a blueprint for future growth and success.  We also review emerging technologies and practices in neurological restoration and ventricular assist devices.  Finally, we respond to your request for information about our world class pain management program as we tell you Mara Miller’s story.

Please enjoy the Winter 2009 issue of Speaking of Specialty Services.
We appreciate your feedback and wish you a happy and healthy holiday season.

Sincerely,
Michael McMillan
