Fertility Evaluations Available for Men
The Andrology Laboratory and Sperm Bank provides specialized tests and services to evaluate male infertility.
As one of the first such laboratories of its kind in the country, we can provide complete assessment using the most advanced computerized technology available. Our highly experienced team of medical technologists are able to offer referring physicians accurate quantifiable test results while ensuring high standards of quality control.
This specialized laboratory provides the most comprehensive semen profile available for a clear understanding of the sperm's functional capacity. The semen profile includes the Computerized Semen Analysis (CSA), Hypo-osmotic Swelling (HOS) Test, and Bovine Cervical Mucus Penetration (BCMP) Test. The laboratory also offers indirect and direct immunobead testing to detect antisperm antibodies in serum, cervical mucus or seminal plasma and sperm penetration test.
Additional services include: sperm processing for intrauterine insemination; providing cryopreserved donor semen for artificial insemination, cryopreservation for patients prior to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, retroperitoneal lymph node dissection or vasectomy.
We work closely with community physicians. You will receive a report concerning your patient by mail, generally within one week of testing. Results of some tests can be sent by fax to your office on request within 24 hours.
