Course objectives:

During the course each participant receives one-on-one training to develop knowledge and skills in:

• MACS^† technique for selection of non-apoptotic spermatozoa
• Oxidative stress status (ROS & TAC levels)
• Apoptotic marker in ejaculated spermatozoa by fluorescence microscopy
  (Annexin V binding)
• Sperm DNA fragmentation by FACS
  (TUNEL assay)
• Hamster egg human sperm decondensation test (HICSI)^*
• Zona free hamster egg sperm penetration assay^*

ROS & TAC: Reactive oxygen species and Total antioxidant status
FACS: Fluorescence activated cell sorting
