He received training in Urology from the University Clinic, Heidelberg, Germany. He was a Clinical and Research Fellow in Andrology/Urology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation from 1993 to 1994 and completed his residency in Urology from Wayne State Medical Center, MI (1994-2000). Presently he is Director, Laparoscopy and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Associate Professor of Urology, Department of Urology at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University. |

Graduated and completed residency in General Surgery (1991-1992) and Urology (1993-1995) at the University of Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. He was a Research Fellow in Andrology/Urology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation from 1995 to 1996. He obtained a Master Degree in Surgery at the University of Campinas Medical School, Brazil, in 1996, and a Ph.D. in Urology at the Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 1998. He is currently in private practice, as the director of ANDROFERT, a Human Reproduction and Referral Center for Male Infertility, located in Campinas, Brazil. Also, he is Head of the Human Reproduction Section at the Brazilian Society of Urology since 2004 and responsible for the Microsurgery Training Program. Dr. Esteves' major interest areas are clinical male infertility, microsurgery, cryobiology, andrology and IVF laboratory techniques. He has published over 40 papers in peer-reviewed Journals and several book chapters. Currently, he is a member of the Andrology Committee of the Brazilian Society for Human Reproduction. In 2006, Dr. Esteves received the "Reproductive Research Center's Alumni of the Year" award for his continued excellence in male infertility research. Completed his medical and residency training in urology at the University of São Paulo Medical School, Brazil. He was a Research Fellow in Andrology/Urology at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1996 and 1998. He is currently Assistant Professor of Urology and Chief, Human Reproduction Section, Division of Urology at The University of São Paulo Medical School. Research interests are focused on Microsurgery, varicocele, azoospermia, reproductive toxicology, sperm function tests and cryopreservation. Dr. Hallak is also the Chief Editor of "Essencial" - a bimonthly magazine dedicated to disseminate medical information for the medical community and general population. Completed his urology residency from Glickman Urological Institute, Cleveland Clinic Foundation where he performed a Research Fellowship in Andrology/Urology from 1996 to 1997. Following the completion of his residency training, he did a fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Microsurgery in the Scott Department of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Currently, Dr. Hendin is Director of the Division for Male Fertility and Male Sexual Function at The Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, located in Houston, Texas. |
