Vascular and Interventional Imaging

The Section of Vascular and Interventional Imaging offers a full range of diagnostic and interventional procedures. Vascular diagnostic procedures include conventional contrast angiography, CO2 angiography, intravascular ultrasound and magnetic resonance angiography.

Vascular interventional procedures include the use of angioplasty, vascular stenting and, on an investigational basis, the use of graft stents in the aorta and peripheral vessels. A wide spectrum of gastrointestinal and genitourinary interventional procedures are performed, including transhepatic biliary drainages, TIPS, percutaneous gastrostomies, nephrostomies, ureteric stenting and percutaneous stone extraction.

The full range of venous access devices are placed from ports, both chest and peripheral, to tunneled and non-tunneled central access devices. Both placement of dialysis access devices and percutaneous salvage of dialysis access fistulas are performed.
