Endocrine Disorders

Physicians in the Section of Pediatric Endocrinology specialize in the treatment of children and adolescents with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and a wide range of other acute and chronic disorders of the endocrine system.

Pediatric conditions that are treated include those with thyroid and growth disorders; delayed or early puberty problems; Turner's syndrome; sexual differentiation problems in infants; and hirsutism, severe acne, and menstrual disorders in girls. Consultation and evaluation are available on an in- or outpatient basis.

Diabetes Center
A center for diabetes diagnosis, care, education and research. Physicians from pediatric nephrology and endocrinology provide continuing care for diabetic children and adolescents, with the goal of minimizing hospitalization and preventing diabetic complications.
