Rheumatic Diseases

The Cleveland Clinic physicians in this section have specialty training in autoimmune inflammatory diseases, such as lupus, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, dermatomyositis, scleroderma and other rheumatic disorders, as well as autoimmune and immunodeficiency diseases. They offer special expertise in treating fibromyalgia, soft tissue disorders and chronic fatigue syndrome in adolescents. A comprehensive range of services, including physical and occupational therapy, helps maximize the child's level of function. Special services available include therapeutic apheresis; capillaroscopy; injection of major and minor joints, and muscles; synovial and skin biopsy.
