Physicians in the Section of Pediatric Plastic
Surgery provide a multidisciplinary approach to the consultation
and management of reconstructive problems in children and
adolescents from birth to age two. The emphasis is on correction
of congenital abnormalities, including evaluation and management
of craniofacial problems such as cleft lip and palate; congenital
nevi; craniofacial abnormalities; and congenital ear abnormalities.
The section also offers reconstructive surgery of the trunk,
extremities and hand, and surgical management of traumatic
injuries. The Cleft Lip and Palate and Craniofacial clinics
offer interdisciplinary care for children with these specific
problems.
Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic
Provides interdisciplinary assessment and pre- and postoperative
management for infants, children and adolescents with cleft
lip or palate or other congenital craniofacial anomalies.
Care is provided by specialists in craniofacial plastic surgery,
neurosurgery, oral surgery, otolaryngology, audiology, speech
therapy, psychology and dentistry.
Craniofacial-Orbital Clinic
Provides interdisciplinary assessment, including pre- and
postoperative management of infants, children, adolescents
and adults with cranial and orbital deformities. Care is provided
by specialists in craniofacial plastic surgery, neurosurgery
and oculoplastic surgery.
