About the Departments and Sections at The Children's Hospital at The Cleveland Clinic

Orthopaedic Surgery

The Section of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency care for infants, children and adolescents with congenital skeletal or other orthopaedic deformities, including joint and muscle disorders, as well as orthopaedic conditions and diseases related to trauma.

Care is provided through an interdisciplinary team approach combining the expertise of specialists in pediatric physical and occupational therapy, general medicine, audiology and orthopaedics. Each patient is individually evaluated by the appropriate team members, who together develop a cohesive, comprehensive care plan.

In addition to general pediatric orthopaedics, members of the section have specialized expertise in the treatment of cerebral palsy, scoliosis and myelodysplasia, including spina bifida.
