Cleveland Clinic general pediatric physicians
assist the community general practitioner or pediatrician
in providing generally short-term, outpatient acute care when
a second opinion, consultation or subspecialty referral is
needed.
The Clinic pediatrician also can serve as a
coordinator of care for the patient who requires care from
multiple specialists. In all cases, the Clinic pediatrician
keeps the referring physician informed of the care plan, and
the child is returned to the general pediatric practitioner's
care when the medical problem is resolved.
General Pediatrics is available at the Cleveland
Clinic's main campus and through the Division of Regional
Medical Practice at our family health centers in Beachwood,
Chagrin Falls, Independence, Lakewood, Lorain, Solon, Strongsville,
Westlake, Willoughby Hills and Wooster. A Children's Hospital
pediatrician is available for evening appointments on Tuesday
and Thursday.
