Physicians in the Section of Pediatric
Endocrinology specialize in the treatment of children and
adolescents with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and a
wide range of other acute and chronic disorders of the endocrine
system.
Pediatric conditions that are treated include
those with thyroid and growth disorders; delayed or early
puberty problems; Turner's syndrome; sexual differentiation
problems in infants; and hirsutism, severe acne, and menstrual
disorders in girls. Consultation and evaluation are available
on an in- or outpatient basis.
