Cleveland Clinic to host Innovation Summit at Medical Mart
The Cleveland Clinic is giving a big boost to Cuyahoga County's medical mart by agreeing to open the downtown facility next Fall with its internationally renowned Medical Innovation Summit. The flagship event draws more than 1,000 entrepreneurs, health-care executives and investors from 35 states and 15 countries to discuss cutting-edge technology. In October, the event will focus on obesity and diabetes. "It's a perfect match, their grand opening and our very visible, one-of-a-kind event in the health care world," said Chris Coburn, executive director of Cleveland Clinic Innovations, during a phone interview from Abu Dhabi.
