Sue Siegel leadshealthymagination, GE’s $6B commitment to enable better health for more people. Healthymagination incubates disruptive business models, processes, and solutions, applying GE’s scale and worldwide presence to achieve its mission to transform healthcare by increasing its quality, access, and affordability. Ms. Siegel leads healthymagination’s programmatic efforts worldwide, inclusive of GE’s healthcare venture investing through itshealthymagination Fund, and leads the strategic direction and external marketing of GE’s worldwide employee health programs.

As a venture capitalist at Silicon Valley-based Mohr Davidow Ventures, Ms. Siegel led investments in personalized medicine, digital health, and life sciences. Before her VC years, Ms. Siegel dedicated more than 20 years as an executive driving breakthrough technologies growth at Bio-Rad, DuPont, Amersham (now GE), and Affymetrix. As President and Board Member of Affymetrix(NASDAQ: AFFX), Ms. Siegel built shareholder value, leading Affymetrix’transformation from a pre-revenue start up into a global, multi-billion dollar market cap company. Affymetrix helped accelerate the advent of personalized medicine.

Ms. Siegel served on eleven corporate boards. Ms. Siegel is a member of the Presidents' Circle of the National Academies, serves on Stanford Hospital Board’s IT Committee, and was appointed to the newest NIH agency, the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, as a board member for its Cures Acceleration Network. She serves on Santa Clara University’s Center for Science, Technology, and Society’s Executive Board, and DELL’s Healthcare and Life Sciences Advisory Board. Ms. Siegel is a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute, a member of YPO-WPO, and of Women Corporate Directors. In the bestselling business book: Multipliers: How The Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter, Ms. Siegel was a featured “multiplier”. In 2010, she was recognized as “The 100 Most Influential Women in Silicon Valley”. With Stanford Hospital, Ms. Siegel co-founded Checking-In™, a program dedicated to serving the local aging population. She is Board Member Emeritus of the Silicon Valley Tech Museum and served on The Gladstone Advisory Council.
