Gregory Gilot, MD
Cleveland Clinic Weston

Dr. Gilot graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania in 1993 with a BS in biology and psychology. In 1998, he earned his MD from Pennsylvania State University. He served as the Administrative and Academic Orthopaedic Chief Resident during his residency at the Louisiana State University, which he completed in June 2003. Dr. Gilot then completed his Adult Shoulder Fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center, in 2004.

Dr. Gilot is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of many professional societies and committees. He was appointed Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at Indiana University from September 2004-July2006. Dr. Gilot joined Cleveland Clinic Florida faculty in 2006 as a practicing Orthopaedic Surgeon, and has been serving as the Department Chairman since 2008. He is also the Research Fellowship Director for the Orthopaedic Department. Dr. Gilot has been an affiliate assistant professor at Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University since 2010. His specialty interests include shoulder arthroscopy, disorders of the rotator cuff, biceps tendon, acromioclavicular joint, sternoclavicular joint, shoulder instability, degenerative and inflammatory arthritis of the shoulder, shoulder replacement, revision shoulder surgery, , fractures of the proximal humerus, fractures about the shoulder girdle, knee arthroscopy, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, meniscal injuries, articular cartilage injuries and traumatic injuries about the knee.
