Genetics of Obesity: A panel will examine the obesity epidemic through the interplay of various genes.
Obesity and Cancer: Experts will offer an examination of the association between obesity and cancer, the impact on intentional weight loss, with a close look at esophageal, thyroid, colon, renal, liver, melanoma, multiple myeloma, rectum, gallbladder, leukemia, lymphoma, and prostate in men; and postmenopausal breast and endometrium in women.
Diet, Obesity and Alzheimer’s Disease: Panelists will discuss the role of insulin function in brain health.
Obesity and Sleep Disorders: A panel will explore the relationship between the duration of sleep, circadian rhythm and metabolism, and the presence of obesity in adults.
Treating the Obese Adolescent: Experts will discuss therapies for reversing obesity in the adolescent population and reducing diabetes risk.
