Kenneth Greene, MD
Dr. Greene joined Cleveland Clinic in 2009. After completing his fellowship training in adult reconstructive surgery at Cleveland Clinic in 1988, he returned to Akron, Ohio and was a member of the Crystal Clinic for twenty-one years. While in Akron, Dr. Greene was the Head of Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Summa Health System, and was the Medical Director of the Walter A. Hoyt, Jr., MD Musculoskeletal Research Lab. Dr. Greene is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Northeast Ohio Medical University, has received several teaching awards, and has been instrumental in training future generations of orthopaedic surgeons.
Dr. Greene is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and specializes in reconstruction of the hip and knee. His focus is on joint replacement surgery and is recognized as an authority in this area, lecturing both nationally and internationally. In the last several years, he has authored numerous articles, several book chapters, and has presented over two dozen international lectures. Dr. Greene was named as one of 70 outstanding hip surgeons by Becker's Orthopedic & Spine Review in May, 2011.
Dr. Greene is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Arthroplasty, and he has been extensively involved with orthopaedic implant design, including the Restoration Modular Hip System and the Triathlon Total Knee System. Dr. Greene was the first surgeon worldwide to implant a Triathlon total knee and Partnership ceramic hip. His role as an implant design consultant allows his patients’ access to the latest technology available, often years before general use.
