Intellectual Property - Patentability and Inventorship download video

This session is intended to unlock the mysteries associated with protecting biomedical innovations, and to illustrate how patent activities help shape a commercialization strategy.  Topics will include what makes a drug, device, diagnostic or software invention patentable, how to search the patent literature, and navigate around existing art.  The speakers will touch upon issues related to disclosure, publication, collaborations, and infringement.  Panelists will lead a case study review of patent claims to examine their scope and their effect on patent strategy.  Also included will be an inventor's perspective on the patenting process.  This session is designed for both experienced and novice inventors.

Commercialization Funding - Government Wants to Support You!  download video
