Getting Started Evaluation Criteria Commercialization

The commercialization process begins with the submission of an Invention Disclosure form to CCI.

Your invention is evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Commercial viability
  • Medical efficacy
  • Protectability via patent, copyright, or trade secret

Inventions in the active commercialization state can be:

  • Licensed to industry
  • Spun-off to a new company
  • Included in industrial partnerships
