Stephen joined the Cleveland Clinic Innovations staff as a Senior Commercialization Officer in April 2012 working in the MedStar Innovations Alliance. In this role, Stephen negotiates licensing agreements, arranges confidential disclosure agreements and actively identifies and markets MedStar Health technologies to potential licensees. Prior to his current role, Stephen spent four years as Technology Licensing Officer with the University of Maryland, Baltimore Office of Technology Transfer where he negotiated over 30 license agreements and assisted in obtaining more than $300K in proof of concept awards. Prior to joining the Office of Technology Transfer, Stephen enjoyed a successful career researching the mechanisms of salt regulation and hypertension, skeletal muscle gene expression and regulation, and the effects of various narcotics on their endogenous receptors at the University of Maryland, Baltimore and the National Institute Health (NICHD and NIDA) respectively. Mr. Kinsey holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Applied Molecular Biology, both from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and an MBA in Executive Management from the Joseph Sellinger School of Business, Loyola University.
