CCI is Cleveland Clinic's exclusive
arm for technology commercialization. CCI works with
clinicians and researchers to help them transition their
research into medical products. CCI's mission is the
"rapid and broad deployment of Cleveland Clinic
technology to benefit the sick." Cleveland Clinic
employees system- wide, including those at Cleveland
Clinic Florida, work with CCI.
CCI's objectives are:
- License Cleveland Clinic technology
to strong partners;
- Establish spin-off companies built
on Cleveland Clinic technology;
- Monetize Cleveland Clinic technology. Secure new funds to further commercialization;
- Partner with companies who will work
collaboratively with Cleveland Clinic to develop and
deploy new medical technology; and
- Stimulate market oriented innovation within Cleveland
Clinic. Secure all necessary intellectual property
protection.
