International Physician Observers are physicians
selected to visit the Cleveland Clinic for one month to observe
procedures in their designated specialty. These applicants, who
are valued members of their medical institution, are proposed by
their Dean of Faculty or Chief Executive Officer. Because of licensing
laws in the United States, International Scholars cannot provide
direct patient care. This program is non-funded. All expenses
including travel and in-country accomodations are the responsibility
of the visiting physician.
Applications are competitively reviewed and must be
completed and received by June 1st or December 1st for observerships
in the following calendar year. Physicians accepted into the program
will be notified by mail or email. Specific guidelines within the
application must be adhered to for consideration.
