Women's Cardiovascular Center Preventive Cardiology & Rehabilitation Program is a clinical program (outpatient clinic) that utilizes a multidisciplinary team of providers to prevent the occurrence or progression of cardiovascular disease in women. Those who have heart disease or have been treated for heart disease stand to benefit the most. Anyone who wants to lower her risk for heart or vascular disease is a candidate. Rehabilitation/Fitness Programs

FITT - Individual Exercise Prescriptions
What is an exercise prescription? Exercise prescriptions provide specific information on:
F - frequency
I - intensity(how hard you need to work)
T - type of exercise
T - time or duration ..this allows you to get the most “bang for your buck” from the amount of time you spend exercising.

Cardiac Rehabilitation promotes healthy lifestyles through education and individually structured exercise programs to reduce the risk of future heart conditions. This is an individualized tailored program in conjunction with your physician. Call 1-800-223-2273, ext. 49353, or locally, call 216/444-9353.

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Rehabilitation is a program for women who have leg fatigue or cramping as a result of blockages in the arteries. This program will help you increase the total amount of time you are able to walk; reduce your leg pain; and help reduce your risk factors for heart and vascular disease. Nutrition Programs & Special Classes

Preventive Cardiology and Rehabilitation Nutrition Program offers a wide range of nutrition services led by experienced and specialized registered dietitians. One-on-one, group session or online nutritional counseling is available. Our comprehensive nutrition sessions include personalized care, realistic goal setting, and eating strategies tailored to your individual needs.

Preventive Cardiology “Cooking for Your Heart” Culinary Series
Mondays, February 13, March 9, and April 10
and Tuesday, June 6
Learn how to prepare delicious, healthful meals from local culinary experts. In each class, a guest chef and Cleveland Clinic Preventive Cardiology dietitian will team up to provide a cooking demonstration, nutrition tips, recipes with nutrition analysis and taste testing.

Weight Loss

Successful Lifestyle Modification or SLIM program is a supervised exercise, education and nutrition program focused on weight loss and weight management. The “Weigh to a Healthy Heart” is a 10-week comprehensive group weight loss program.
