International patients are an important focus in the Cleveland Clinic Heart and Vascular Institute. Thousands of patients from over 100 countries visit our doctors each year for treatments ranging from second opinion consultations to surgical procedures. Because of this, we have the experience to understand and anticipate your special needs whether they are medical or cultural.
The International Center was established to help international patients:
- schedule medical appointments;
- secure lodging;
- arrange for interpretation or translation;
- assist with hospital registration and admissions; and
- assist with financial transactions
You can contact the International Center directly, or have your referring physician notify us, whichever you prefer. To contact us:
- Call the International Center toll-free at 1-800-218-1888 or (216) 444-6404 and ask for the “Patient Service Office” at extension 4-8184. (You must use an international 800 access code when dialing from outside the United States of America)
- Email the International Center at icwebmail@ccf.org .
- For patients who cannot travel to Cleveland but would like a second opinion from a Cleveland Clinic physician, the Cleveland Clinic offers specialist consultation and second opinions using the Internet. The service, e-Cleveland Clinic, provides online second opinions for patients with life-threatening and life-altering diagnoses.
