WOM Curriculum

The Word of Mouth (WOM) curriculum is designed to be implemented throughout the course of the school year. We encourage teaching one WOM lesson each quarter of the school year. To ensure the WOM program’s effectiveness, all of the lessons must be taught in order, since the concepts build on one another. Many times a skill is introduced in the first lesson that the students will be asked to use in future lessons. The implementation schedule applies to both the traditional classroom curriculum and the Web-based curriculum.

WOM Traditional Curriculum

  • Facilitator training required to implement curriculum
  • Curriculum: grades 4 through 8
  • Four 45 minute lessons per grade

WOM Web-Based Curriculum

  • Facilitator training required to implement curriculum
  • Curriculum: grades 4 through 6
  • Four 45 minute lessons per grade
  • Computer lab equipped with a computer for each child
  • WOM web-based lessons guideline: What you need to know(pdf)
