When osteoarthritis or injury to the knee or hip causes constant pain and stiffness, surgery can restore quality of life. Osteoarthritis develops as cartilage cushioning the joint wears away, allowing bone to rub against bone and spurs to develop. Depending on the degree of joint damage, when conservative measures no longer help, individuals may be eligible for partial or total knee replacement, total hip replacement or hip resurfacing. Join us online as Peter Brooks, MD, and Viktor Krebs, MD discuss joint replacement and resurfacing options in the knee and hip.
