Call the TUPCF Quit Line (1-800-934-4840) Today

What is the Quit Line?
The Quit Line is a free phone counseling service to help people quit smoking or using tobacco.

How do I use the Quit Line?
All you need to do is call the hotline: 1-800-934-4840 and speak to one of the trained counselors. Your counselor will explain the services offered by the Quit Line and then ask you some questions about your own tobacco use and quitting goals. He or she will help you come up with a personal plan that will prepare you to quit and help you set a quit date.

What services does the Quit Line provide?
Quit Line operators can talk to you about your own quitting challenges, schedule future counseling calls, give you information about medications and nicotine replacement products, and send you books, pamphlets and brochures.

How many times can I call?
You may call the Quit Line as many times as you need to, free of charge. Generally, counseling can be completed in five sessions that prepare you to quit and give you support as you attempt to quit.

Why should I choose the Quit Line?
The Quit Line is a good solution if you cannot attend classes in person because of time, cost or childcare issues. Telephone counseling has been shown to help about one out of four people quit for good. In addition, the Quit Line is confidential. Information is only released to your doctor at your request.

If I’ve smoked or chewed tobacco for years and the damage is already done, why should I call the Quit Line now?
The health benefits of quitting are significant and begin within the first 20 minutes of quitting, no matter how long you’ve used tobacco.
