by giving them your business, let them know how
much you appreciate the clean air.
Report businesses breaking the law
– help your
local health department by telling them about smoking
in public places where it is not allowed.
Contact your school
– ask them if they have a
school or campus policy against smoking. Ask if it
applies to staff or just students. Tell the principal how
important this issue is to you and your family.
Attend coalition events – Show government officials
and businesses how important clean air is for their
citizens. Go to

Write a letter to the editor – educate readers about
clean indoor air and why it’s so important to you.
Get involved – volunteer to work on a campaign to
stop smoking in public places.
