You CAN Quit!
If you have tried to stop smoking, you know how hard it can
be. Quitting takes hard work and a lot of effort, but you CAN quit! The
American Lung Association® of Ohio (ALAO) has many programs
that can help you stop smoking:
FREEDOM FROM SMOKING® ONLINE: If you have Internet
access, you can sign up for Freedom From Smoking Online – and it is
free! The program is based on the Lung Association's Freedom From
Smoking® clinic program, which has already helped thousands of
smokers quit smoking for good. Log on to
www.ffsonline.org to find out more about this free program.
1-866-QUIT-YES: Would you like to talk to a specially trained nurse or
respiratory therapist about stopping smoking? The American Lung Association® offers a FREE
Quit line. Call 1-866-Quit-Yes or 1-866-784-8937. Call 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
HYPNOSIS: Many people have stopped smoking through hypnosis.
The American Lung Association® of Ohio offers hypnosis clinics in
many different places across the state. To find out more call 1-800- LUNG-USA or visit the

7 STEPS TO A SMOKE-FREE LIFE: This book guides smokers
through the seven steps that will lead to a longer, healthier life. It
provides the guidance and support that smokers need to cope with
