Ray and Ruth Perelman Give $1 Million to the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Pavilion

Raymond Perelman, Chairman of the Board and President of RGP Holding, Inc. and his wife, Ruth, have donated $1 million toward the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Pavilion. Scheduled for completion in 2008, the Miller Family Pavilion will serve as the new home of the Cleveland Clinic Heart and Vascular Institute.

The gift was made in honor of Bruce Lytle, M.D., Chairman of the Cleveland Clinic Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, in gratitude for treatment Mr. Perelman received.

The Perelmans' gift contributes to Today's Innovations, Tomorrow's Healthcare: Campaign for Cleveland Clinic. Mr. and Mrs. Perelman are helping to boost Cleveland Clinic's patient care, research and educational programs with their generosity.

A University of Pennsylvania alumnus, Mr. Perelman, with Mrs. Perelman have strong philanthropic ties in Philadelphia, extending their support to his alma mater, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Kimmel Center, home to eight of Philadelphia's performing arts organizations. Mr. and Mrs. Perelman grew up in Philadelphia, Penn., and reside in Philadelphia and Palm Beach, Fla., respectively. They have two grown children.
