Saks Fifth Avenue Key to the Cure
Saks Fifth Avenue in Beachwood, Ohio, is giving shoppers the opportunity to support women's reproductive and breast cancer research at Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center by hosting the annual Key to the Cure charity shopping event Oct. 12 to15.
During this four-day shopping extravaganza, Saks Fifth Avenue will donate a percentage of sales to Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center. Please join Saks Fifth Avenue for a preview party on Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The preview party is open to the public and will feature gourmet food stations with delectables from some of Cleveland's finest restaurants including: Fire Food and Drink, Gavi's Restaurant, Maxi's Ristorante, Parallax Restaurant, XO Restaurant, Blue Canyon Restaurant, Bistro 185, Epiq Bistro and Wine Bar, Michelangelo's Restaurant, Chocolate Falls and Executive Caterers at Landerhaven. In addition to great food, there will be a martini and wine bar, entertainment, raffles and the chance to meet local cancer survivors. Tickets are available pre-sale or at the door for $40 per person or $75 per couple. All proceeds benefit research at Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center.
"Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women and the second leading cause of cancer death in women," said Derek Raghavan, M.D., Ph.D., Chairman of the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center. "We are very grateful to Saks Fifth Avenue in Beachwood for helping the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center focus more attention on cancer in women. The funds raised with the generous help of Saks shoppers will be used to support our research in the genetics and treatment of breast cancer, and it will also support work in ovarian cancer."
