Campaign Goal
Donations to Date
Record High $176 Million Given in 2007
Special thanks go to the thousands of supporters who contributed a record $176 million total to Cleveland Clinic patient care, research, education and campus facilities in 2007.
For five years running, supporters have raised the bar for total gifts and pledges to Cleveland Clinic in a single year, rallying behind Cleveland Clinic’s efforts to advance patient care.
Far-reaching Impact
In addition to funding flagship projects such as the 1-million-square-foot Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Pavilion, accelerated giving has led to a substantial increase in cash flow to the institution -- $105 million in 2007.
Strong 2007 support also sets the campaign for Cleveland Clinic a year ahead of schedule, which closed the year at $977 million raised toward the $1.25 billion goal.
In addition to building new, state-of-the-art facilities, this transformational support impacts how physicians will practice medicine for generations to come. From the latest diagnostic equipment to endowed research chairs devoted to new treatments and cures, campaign funds are making a direct and enduring impact.
Key to Success
Carol Moss, Chairman, Institutional Relations and Development, attributes the philanthropic success of recent years to several factors. “First and foremost, these amazing acts of generosity are inspired by the high-quality patient care provided by the physicians, nurses and allied teams of Cleveland Clinic.”
In addition, she credits 650 volunteers posted strategically across the nation and world. These advocates work tirelessly to fuel regional support for Cleveland Clinic’s Today’s Innovations, Tomorrow’s Healthcare campaign.
