GCIC Services
Commercialization Assistance
Commercialization assistance will be offered to all GCIC member companies. GCIC’s commercialization approach includes a wide scope of supporting activities, infrastructures and expertise, including:
- Dedicated creation of spin-off companies and equity partnerships
- Highly skilled licensing and intellectual property specialists
- Technology validation and venture capital funding networks
- Prototyping and preclinical facilities
GCIC leverages this unique environment to transform promising therapies, devices and diagnostics into products, via spin-offs, licenses and equity partnerships.
Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIR)
The GCIC will use thought leaders along side its own staff to develop and implement successful commercialization strategies. This will include GCIC EIRs – CV industry leaders – who will be recruited for their expertise and large networks of contacts. The EIR group will bring added resources to the GCIC through longstanding personal relationships throughout the industry. This will help to establish product development and deal-related opportunities.
Venture Investment Consortium
The GCIC Investment Consortium will provide a powerful tool for creating new companies and accelerating the commercialization of promising technologies. The Consortium will function as a tightly integrated group of professionals from several prominent venture capital firms who will jointly evaluate investment opportunities.
Technical Talent Recruitment
Programs are available through Case Western Reserve University to recruit students and recent graduates as members of newly relocated and formed companies. Case offers a co-operative education program which can place undergraduate students in dedicated work environments.
