Bringing High Impact Cardiovascular Innovations to the Market

Welcome to the Global Cardiovascular Innovation Center

The Global Cardiovascular Innovation Center is a $250 million product commercialization consortium made possible by a $60 million grant from the State of Ohio?s Third Frontier Project. The consortium is led by the Cleveland Clinic ? the #1 ranked heart center in the US for the past 13 years ? and is made up of other leading Ohio medical and research institutions including Case Western Reserve University, the Ohio State University, the University of Cincinnati, the University of Toledo and University Hospitals of Cleveland, along with leading industry and economic development partners.

Our Mission:

To be an international leader in developing, acquiring, incubating, and commercializing cardiovascular technology.

"Cleveland?s Global Cardiovascular Innovation Center is a 250 million dollar public-private partnership formed to develop new cardiovascular products. It will create hundreds of new jobs, and more importantly, it will help countless patients in Ohio and around the world overcome a terrible threat to their health. The state?s commitment to bioscience is a major reason why Ohio hosts 25 percent of all clinical trials conducted in the U.S. This is research that creates jobs and saves lives.?
- Ohio Governor Ted Strickland, State of the State Address, February 6, 2008
