Printing and Saving in PubMed: |
Before printing or saving:
- Increase the number of items displayed per page so that the entire list is displayed on one page. To
do that, click "Show" and select a number from the drop-down list that is larger than the number of
citations in your results.
- Select the citation format, if you want to change from the default "summary". Click the small
triangle next to "Summary" and select the format from the drop-down list.
- Click "Display" and the citations will reload all on one page in the format you have selected.
- Click "Text" to display the references without the graphics. (easier to
print)
- Email is available in addition to Print and Save.
Printing
After you've selected the format and displayed all the citations on one page, click "Text" to get rid of the graphics boxes. Then select File/Print or click the printer icon in your Web browser.
Saving
After you've selected the format and displayed all the citations on one page:
- Click "Save"
- Select "Save to disk"
- Select the directory where to save the file
- Change the file name to whatever you like with a .txt end, e.g. query.txt
- Change "Save as Type" to All Files
- Depending on your browser, you may receive a message that the download is complete. Close this box
to return to PubMed.
