Downloading Citations into RefWorks from EBSCOHost Databases (SPORTDiscus, Health Source: Nursing/Academic, Insurance Periodicals Index, etc.)

Direct export from EBSCOHost Databases

• Click on Add in the right hand column (under the folder icon).
• Click on Folder has items located above your search results next to the folder icon.
• Click on Save, located just above the first citation in your folder.
• Select the Bibliographic Manager tab.
• Select Direct Export to RefWorks.
• Click the Save button.

RefWorks will automatically open, and your citations will download into the Last Imported Folder. Check that all the information is correct. Move the citations to an existing folder or create a new folder. You may also wish to add a descriptor of your own choosing to identify these citations. This can be especially helpful if you have citations that are included in different folders. If you add a descriptor, use the descriptor search option to retrieve a list of references.
