Checking out and Renewing Books:

Registering for a library account: Come to the library in person with your CCF ID badge, or print the PDF registration form.

- SIGN it
- Fax it back with a PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR CCF ID BADGE to 216-444-0271.
Viewing your circulation record: Once registered, create a PIN to view your library account. You can see which items you've checked out (and their due dates), renew items, and place "holds".
Borrowing period: Three weeks, with the option of four three-week renewals as long as the item is not overdue, and no one else is waiting for it. You can check due dates and renew items yourself online by clicking on "view your library account".
Renewals: 4 three-week renewals, if no one is waiting to borrow the item. Overdue items cannot be renewed.

Creating your PIN: Register with the Library first!

Then go to the Library Catalog at http://library.ccf.org.
Click on "View Your Library Account".
Enter your name and employee ID # and click on "Display record for person named above".
You'll be prompted to create a PIN.

If you forget your PIN, call the Library to have it reset.

Borrowing Limits, Overdue Notices, and Fines:

Borrowing Limit: Total of ten items on your record at one time (any combination of books, tapes, CDs, etc.).
Overdue fines for CCF material: $0.25 per day for items we own. If you return an overdue item during the first seven days after the due date, you owe no fine. But if you return an item on or after the eighth day after the due date, you owe fines for every day since the due date. (Items returned on the weekend will be considered to have been returned on Friday.) Once your fines total $10.00, your circulation privileges will be blocked.
OhioLINK overdue fines: $0.50 per day for OhioLINK books and books from other libraries. If you fail to return any OhioLINK item within 30 days of the due date, you will be billed a replacement fee of $125 ($75 for replacement plus $50 processing & billing. For items returned after billing, you will be charged $50 (cost of processing and billing). OhioLINK policies, fines, and charges are determined by OhioLINK and cannot be waived or negotiated. You are financially responsible for the return of books provided by another OhioLINK library.
Overdue notices: will be emailed. The first notice is sent the day after the item is due. A second notice will be sent a week later. If you still have not returned the item, a bill will be sent to your home address two weeks after the second notice. Once the book is returned, you owe only the fines, for Cleveland Clinic materials. Refer to the OhioLINK overdue fines above for OhioLINK fines. Once your fines and bills total $10, your circulation privileges will be blocked. Remember that you can check your record yourself, online.
