Candidates for admission to any of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation's residency programs must have one of the following qualifications to be eligible for appointment to accredited residency programs:
Graduate from a medical school in the United States or Canada accredited by the LCME (Liaison Committee on Medical Education).
Graduate from a college of osteopathic medicine in the United States accredited by the AOA (American Osteopathic Association).
Graduates of schools outside of the United States or Canada must meet one of the following qualifications:

Hold a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a US licensing jurisdiction
Graduates of medical schools outside of the United States or Canada who have completed a Fifth Pathway Program provided by an LCME accredited medical school.
