Christine A Taylor, PhD
|
Christine Taylor has been involved in Health Care Education for the last 20 years with an emphasis on medical and residency education for the past 17 years. She earned her Masters in Public Health Education from the University of Toledo in 1982, followed by her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology in 1987. From 1989- 1991, Dr. Taylor served as the Assistant Director for Medical Education at a large inner-city hospital. In that role, she supervised residency curriculum and the development of faculty as teachers. From 1991 – 2004, Dr. Taylor served in a number of roles at the Medical College of Ohio culminating with her appointment as Associate Dean for Faculty Development in 1997. Dr. Taylor has developed several teaching-focused faculty development programs and has provided evaluation consultation for several state and federal grants. In 2003, Dr. Taylor spent a six-month sabbatical with the ACGME developing online modules for teaching and evaluating the ACGME Core Competencies. In 2004, Dr. Taylor was appointed as Director of Faculty Development for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM) of Case Western Reserve University. She is currently involved in projects to:

- Develop observation and assessment training of clinical teachers
- Develop faculty development programs that meet the needs of the CCLCM and GME faculty
- Develop a research program on teaching and learning in a “competency-based” environment
