Just off I-75 in Weston, Florida, a landmark is the new home of Cleveland Clinic Florida. This 43-acre, $150 million academic medical campus which opened in July 2001, houses a 150-bed, 220,474 square-foot hospital and a four-story, 185,824 square-foot medical office building including a Plastic Surgery Center and a Research and Education Conference Center.

Cleveland Clinic Florida is designed to serve patients in the fast-growing western region of Broward County and South Florida, as well as international patients, seeking world-class healthcare. It provides patients with an integrated, comprehensive health care facility where they can receive a full range of medical services, from specialists to diagnostic screenings, and, if necessary, be hospitalized in a single integrated campus.    Established in 1988, Cleveland Clinic Florida is an integral part of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio, a not-for-profit, multidisciplinary group practice renowned worldwide for providing high quality medical care. Embracing the Foundation's commitment to medical excellence with an emphasis on research and education, Cleveland Clinic Florida has more than 120 physicians with expertise in more than 40 specialties. A 24-hour emergency department, open heart surgery and kidney transplantation are among the many services available.

The Cleveland Clinic Foundation of Cleveland, Ohio, and Tenet Healthcare Corporation, a national health care provider based in Santa Monica, California, partnered to build and operate the Weston hospital. While Cleveland Clinic is responsible for all clinical care as well as research and education, Tenet Healthcare manages Cleveland Clinic Hospital.
       
  Cleveland Clinic residents and fellows may elect to spend time with Cleveland Clinic Florida physicians. Rotations are available in many departments and may be arranged through the office of Graduate Medical/Medical Student Education at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Transportation and living quarters are provided.

Cleveland Clinic Florida has an ACGME-approved residency program for colorectal surgery, internal medicine and neurology.
