Alumni Association Awards Program
Each year the Alumni Association honors its own with special presentations at the annual Recognition Ceremony and winners' names are added to the Alumni Recognition wall in the Education Building. Award categories include:
The Distinguished Alumnus Award, established in 1977, recognizes alumni for exceptional enduring achievements and leadership that have brought pride and recognition to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Nominees should demonstrate exceptional achievement in their professions balanced with dedicated contributions of time, energy and resources to the community.
The Special Achievement Award, established in 1985, recognizes individuals who are not necessarily alumni, but are dedicated to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and its mission, and have brought pride and recognition to the Foundation and its alumni population.
The CCF Alumni Association Award for Service to the Foundation, established in 1999 in honor of the Dedication of the Alumni Library, is to recognize alumni who have generously dedicated themselves to the growth and advancement of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Nominees must have demonstrated exceptional commitment and service to the Foundation for a number of years.
The Graduate Level One Award, established in 1987, recognizes an outstanding first year resident, identified by peers, for personal and professional qualities beyond the ordinary. This award introduces first year residents to the CCF Alumni Association and demonstrates the commitment alumni feel towards future generations of Clinic-trained physicians and scientists worldwide. Nominees are evaluated for clinical excellence and knowledge, interpersonal communication skills, character and unique accomplishments.
