Dr. Beth Bierer

Beth Bierer is director of evaluation at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. In this role, she is responsible for the evaluation of multiple educational programs throughout the Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University. Active in undergraduate and graduate medical education for over 20 years, Dr. Bierer brings expertise to the design and evaluation of training programs in these areas. Her primary interests include program evaluation, performance assessment, undergraduate medical education, and educational research. She also directs a postdoctoral fellowship in medical education.

Prior to joining the Clinic, Dr. Bierer worked at Case Western Reserve University's School of Medicine as an educational researcher and coordinator of undergraduate and graduate programs. She has also served as a statistical/evaluation consultant for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Henry Ford Health System, and Cleveland's Visiting Nurse Association.

Dr. Bierer received her B.S. and M.Ed. degrees in Education from Bowling Green State University and her Ph.D. in Measurement and Evaluation from Kent State University. She completed postdoctoral training in the Center for Medical Education Research and Development at the Cleveland Clinic.
